   We purchased this mat to keep our dog from eating Christmas ornaments from our tree. He stepped on it 1 time...now every time he looks in the direction of the mat his ears go back and he turns away. Will definitely use this for our 'trash can' problem too! Thank you! (Posted on 12/23/12)

   I thought I was going to have to rid my house of all of my beautiful plants, I tried all the spray repellants and a spray water bottle, but because I work all day I was not always there when they they were. They were on the table, on the counters and tearing up and eating all of my plants. I had just gotten the 2 kittens and loved them, but didn't know what to do, the scat mat was the answer to my prayers. I highly recommend these to all cat owners who have tried everything else. After a couple of attempts to get to the plants they no longer go near them, so I moved the mat to the table, with the same results, and then moved it to the counter. I no longer have kittens where I shouldn't!!!!!! Well worth the money, don't waste your money on other products. THIS WORKS!!!!! I am telling everyone with cat problems. (Posted on 11/7/12)

   don't waste your money on any other product, this one really does work. I no longer have the kittens playing with my plants, getting on my kitchen table or counters. Used in each area until they figured out they would get a shock, it usually took about 6 attempts and then moved to another area, got the same results. Even after I moved it to another area they never went back to the previous area. Highly recommend to all cat owners and I am sure it would work as well with dogs.    I have many cats and two large dogs. I've only used the mats to keep the cats off my counters. Before the mats, I'd have to clean off my counters several times a day because some of the cats would walk or pee on them. Awful! The high price of the mats kept me from ordering sooner. Last year we replaced the counter so I finally ordered the mats. I didn't want the cats on my new counter plus I was just fed up with the problem. The mats worked just as promised. It took maybe 2 times for each cat to learn. Its wonderful not having to deal with that problem anymore. Having the mats on my counters is a little annoying because I have to turn them off and move them every time I want to use the counter but I've learned to use the free space behind them when I can. The mats are great and I'm buying another one for a different area. (Posted on 4/28/12)

   this has to be the best invention ever in the dog lovers world! we have 3 dogs. 2 lab mixes & a catahoula mix. our couches were their couches. us humans, rarely sat on them once all 3 big dogs claimed their spots. our couches were dirty & stinky due to the dogs claiming them as their own. our dogs are outside dogs during the day & inside dogs in the evening. we wanted to buy new couches but were afraid that they'd be ruined. our dog trainer suggested the plastic roll of carper saver. turn it upside down where the spikes were facing up. she said that should work. it worked for awhile... until 1 dog figured out how to use his paw to knock it off the couch.. and then the others just decided to lay right on it! we bought the new couches... we bought large vinyl table cloths to put on them to protect the leather... that wasn't working so great. so i bought a couch protector scat mat... put a battery in... laid it on the couch... the dogs sniffed at it but walk away. IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!!! they dont bother the couches at all now! went ahead & bought a 2nd one for the 2nd couch. LOVE IT! best thing ever!! thank you scat mat! (Posted on 1/24/12)

   I have 2 great danes and a cocker spaniel at home. My worst problem USED to be them wanting to be right beside me answering the door while barking crazy or the danes wanting to get to dinner off the stove before the family could. NOT ANYMORE. I placed the longest scatmat in the entry cutting the living room off from the front foyer and the kitchen. My older dane is stubborn and tried it twice. Now whether turned on or not, wherever i place it the don't go closer then a foot to it. The danes could step right over if they wanted to but they have no clue.
   I just ordered 2 more moats for my newly ordered couch. Unfortunately they will not be allowed on my new couch and i have faith they will once again learn VERY Quickly. I should say that it is a hazard to half awake humans stepping on it in the middle of the night but other than that, I LOVE IT!!! I recommend them to everyone I know with animals.     I bought 2 scat mats and a dummy one about 3 weeks ago. My puppy that I bought about 3 years ago eventually chewed big chuncks out of all of my leather furniture. $4000 dollars later (I bought new furniture), I decided to splurge on scat mats. Wished I would have splurged on those earlier because I would still have my old leather furniture (which was only 6 years old) and about $4000. It is well worth the cost of the scat mats. My 6 year old lab didn't even try to get on the furniture, when she looked at the mat on the furniture, she moved away from it and got in her bed. My miniature dachshund (furniture eater) decided she didn't care that a new mat was on the furniture, so she jumped on it. About 2 seconds later, she flew off the couch and jumped in her bed and looked up like "what the crap just happened". A day later, she must have forgotten about the shock and jumped up on the couch again. I believe that is all it's going to take for her. I had the setting on low and she didn't even yelp! A friend actually told me about the scat mats a few years ago and I seen them work, but I decided to take the long and expensive route and wait until now to buy them. I thought the price was a little steep, but when you consider what it could cost you in furniture, they are priced right! These are absolutely a need for those that want to keep their pets off the furniture. (Posted on 12/15/10)
